Etiqueta Zero: the hidden cost of relabeling everything
Every pallet you relabel is time, human error and stalled goods. Etiqueta Zero reconciles the supplier's format with yours, without touching a single label.

There's a task almost no warehouse measures but almost every one performs: relabeling. A pallet arrives with the supplier's code, and before it can be put away in your system, someone has to peel off, print and stick a label in your nomenclature. Multiply that by thousands of units a month and a huge hidden cost appears: person-hours, data-entry errors and goods sitting in receiving, waiting for their new identity.
Relabeling adds no value. It doesn't change the product, doesn't improve quality, doesn't speed up delivery. It just translates one code into another. And every manual translation is a chance for an error that later shows up as phantom inventory or mispicks.
The problem isn't the label, it's the missing common language
The root of relabeling is that the supplier speaks in their nomenclature and your iWMS speaks in yours. Without a bridge between the two, the only way for the system to understand the goods is to reprint a label it can read.
Etiqueta Zero flips that logic. Instead of forcing the goods to adapt to the system, the system learns to read the goods as they arrive:
- Automatic reconciliation. The supplier's code is mapped to your internal SKU once. From then on, every unit from that supplier is recognized without reprinting anything.
- Receiving with no bottleneck. Goods come in, get scanned with their original label and are put away. There's no relabeling station throttling the flow.
- Fewer errors, less phantom inventory. By removing manual reprinting, you remove the main source of discrepancies at receiving.
The impact is felt downstream
What's interesting about eliminating relabeling is that the benefit doesn't stay in receiving. When goods come in fast and correctly identified, everything that follows improves:
Cleaner picking. If the code is right from the start, the picker assembling an order never runs into labels that don't match.
Coherent palletizing. The Smart Palletizing module works on reliable data, not on translations that may be wrong.
Trivial reconciliation. Physical inventory matches the system because there was never a manual step that could desynchronize them.
Who it's for
Etiqueta Zero shines in operations receiving heterogeneous goods from many suppliers: distributors, grocery wholesalers, 3PLs consolidating loads from different clients. In bonded warehouses, where there's also a customs status to maintain, eliminating relabeling cuts both operating cost and the risk of discrepancies before the authority.
The question worth asking isn't "how much does a label cost?" but "how much does the full relabeling process cost me, including the errors it generates?" When you run that math, the business case builds itself.
